Her achievements as a child performer in America (which is known as Maureen O'Hara today) would be a sure signification for her to the child-prodigy category. But for a person with Irish origin, and surrounded by gifted parents and family, they had innate talents. Maureen was welcomed into this cherished sanctuary in Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th 1920. Marguerita FitzSimons was an accomplished contralto. Charles FitzSimons was a successful businessman from Dublin who also controlled a portion of the Irish Shamrock Rovers soccer team. Maureen loved playing rough sports when she was young and became very proficient in them. Additionally, she had a gift to act. She was the recipient of nearly every Feis prizes for her own nation's theatre and drama proved this.
