Tina Louise

Tina Tina Amanda AmandaMaureen was an athlete of natural talent and enjoyed playing tough athletic games. This interest was combined with an unnatural talent for performing. This was demonstrated by her winning pretty much every Feis award for drama and theatrical performing her country offered. At the age of 14, she was accepted to the famous Abbey Theater and pursued her aspirations of classical theatre and operatic singing. Charles Laughton was mesmerized after seeing a Maureen screen examination. He was captivated by the beautiful eyes she had. Laughton altered the name of Maureen's FitzSimons changed from Maureen FitzSimons, to "Maureen O'Hara" it was a diminutive version of her last name. The name change happened shortly before Laughton cast her in Jamaica Inn. Maureen was on contract with Laughton for her upcoming film in America at RKO Pictures (The Hunchback of Notre Notre Dame 1939). Maureen's contract with Laughton was bought by RKO when this movie was a great successful. Maureen Laughton was already involved in two motion picture productions before she reached 19.
