Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. Her birth date was 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she took flute lessons as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. Lennox was able to live with the stipend she received from her students as she worked part-time. Lennox did not feel happy with the quality of her skills compared to the other students at Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox was initially musician with the group Dragons Playground. The group didn't make it to the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. Her main role was as the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. The band was where she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they created The duo Eurythmics. Lennox then began to work on her solo debut album Diva, which was released in 1992. It became a huge critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album came out on October 31, 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her most loved blues and soul songs. Lepidoptera is a collection of four piano improvisations was published by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. is a companion piece of her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled"Now, I'll let You go... It's also her first independently released album. The group went on during the 80s, to be the cult duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo musical career in 1992 through the album Diva. It included a number of famous songs like the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and the song Why. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It features cover versions of some songs, including"No MoreI love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. She is credited with the release of six studio albums on her own as well as a compilation. |
